I still have the letter you wrote me, Ian. I read it from time to time. Thank you. David
Thanks mate – still love pen on paper!
The comments are beautiful as they are profound. I really resonated with the one about ships being safe in the harbour though not being made for that. Succinct and to the point – almost like a zen riddle.
Thanks Bob – I am a lover of quotes!

I just posted the quote by Martin Luther King, Jr as this week I felt a little wronged and in the process may have realised that I was also a little wrong. I have to just figure out how a man who lives Emiliano Zapata’s mantra finds the humility to say, okay then, I was wrong.
I just wondered what my own comment would look like on my blog. The above quote by Edmund Burke is a favourite of mine which I have used at work and in my private life a lot. If we always do nothing then not only does evil prevail but even worse we allow mediocrity to rule.
I know it is easy to just stand there, to just watch, to not get involved; but when we do this we have to accept some responsibility for what ultimately becomes normal and acceptable.
I have a quote from Emiliano Zapata which I will share soon.
